Hi, I’m Derek. I consider myself a self-starting entrepreneur, inventor, and media specialist. I have contributed, developed, and project managed several international digital media projects, ranging from prime market web development projects for Fortune 100/500 businesses and local businesses, a top 50 iOS application LowRx, and other marketing projects over the span of the last 15 years.
As an inventor, I developed the most technologically advanced pet collar, The Arden Collar and a solar powered digital SUHD marketing display which interacts with mobile applications via Bluetooth™ called the airPanel™. I currently am listed as the inventor of a world-wide utility patent pending on GPS/GSM/Active RFID pet collar technology US20160135431 and a design patent for the airPanel™
I am a passionate, hard working individual. Sometimes my laser focus of determination is a gift, sometimes it is a curse. I tend to work far too much, but I truly love what I do. I believe you must always love what you do to be truly great at it. Time is the most important commodity and one must use it to the best of their ability.
My success comes from the model that I cannot settle for less than perfection in the expectations of my work output. I am truly dedicated to my career, my success, my personal growth, and the success of others who are my partners and employees. I am a fiercely determined person who takes the "never surrender" approach. I believe only passion and steadfast unwavering determination is the secret to success.
When I am not working I enjoy watching a thought-provoking documentary or watching movies based on biographic and historical themes. My favorite hobby is to learn. I love to learn anything and everything that I can. I believe knowledge is far more powerful than fortune or fame. The person with the most knowledge always will prove victorious.
On a personal note, I believe if I can wake up, can walk, and the people I love are still there to talk to - it was a good day.
